TRAVEL & STAY

TRAVEL

Getting to Cusco

Fly into Alejandro Velasco Astete Airport (CUZ) in Cusco.
Most travelers connect through Lima, with quick 1-hour flights offered by airlines like LATAM. Some South American cities, like Bogotá, also have connections to Cusco.

Shuttle to Sacred Valley

The venue is located in the Sacred Valley, about 1.5 hours by car from Cusco airport.
We recommend arranging private transportation - we'll share a few options closer to the wedding.

𓈒 𓈒 𓈒
We recommend arriving 2-3 days before the wedding to settle in and adjust to the altitude.

No visa is needed for U.S. or Israeli citizens visiting Peru for under 90 days. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your arrival.

FAQs

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Black tie attire.

Do I need a visa to travel?

No visa needed for U.S. or Israeli passport holders staying under 90 days. Just make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your arrival date.

When should I arrive to Cusco?

We suggest arriving 2-3 days before the wedding to settle in and adjust to the altitude. The Sacred Valley has a lot to offer, so arriving early is a great way to explore the area (see the 'Activities' page).

What is the weather like?

It is sunny and warm during the day, and cool at night (we recommend bringing layers).

How should I prepare for the altitude?

Sacred Valley is 9,000 ft above sea level, and Cusco City is 11,000 ft. So take it easy the first day and drink lots of water.

Is Peru safe to travel?

Yes, but like anywhere, be smart: watch your things, do not flash valuables and use official taxis or rides.

Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?

Feel free to text or email us at gljw.wedding@gmail.com with any questions.

THANK YOU!
